Featherfest, the colourful one-day showcase of experimental and innovative music hosted by The Bird's Robe Collective, has announced its return for 2013.
Taking place on Sunday July 28th at the Annandale Hotel in Sydney, the 2013 event will be headlined by US operatic-rock icons THE PROTOMEN, along with locals SHANGHAI, GODSWOUNDS, Melbourne's TOEHIDER and American comedic hip-hop act MC FRONTALOT.
Established in 2009, the annual event has hosted the likes of DARTH VEGAS, UMLAUT, RUINS-ALONE (JPN) and many more. Taking a break in 2012 due to a crowded touring schedule, its return provides impetus for the rising surge of innovative musical talent in Sydney and beyond.
Currently touring Australia for the Melbourne-based PAX event which has sold out, THE PROTOMEN are on their first visit down under, showcasing their cult status as geek-friendly, theatrical rock and rollers, with a reputation for epic, larger-than-life shows.
