sleepmakeswaves announce international release by Monotreme Records

Sydney post-rock group SLEEPMAKESWAVES have announced that their ARIA-nominated album "...and so we destroyed everything" has been licensed for overseas release by legendary UK label Monotreme Records.

The Monotreme release will feature the band's first ever vinyl print, as well as a 2-CD deluxe edition of the album that includes the recent remix record '…and then they remixed everything' featuring contributions from 65daysofstatic, Rosetta, Kyson, Tangled Thoughts of Leaving, Serious Beak, Atlantis, Glasfrosch and Klue.

Based in the UK, Monotreme Records celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2012 and boast a roster including US post-rock giants This Will Destroy You, electronic acts Nedry, Stumbleine and English experimental rock icons 65daysofstatic.

Initially released through Australian independent label Bird's Robe Records in late 2011, "…and so we destroyed everything" launched the band on a busy touring schedule across Australia, Europe and the US which has seen the band's profile rise rapidly, culminating in a 2012 ARIA nomination.

The band have just announced an extensive Australian tour premiering new material and will announce further international touring in 2013 before decamping to write and record their next album.
