Nata alle Hawaii e cresciuta tra la California ed Israele, Sara Lov, cantante e cantautrice, inizia la sua avventura nel 1993, dando vita, insieme al pianista ed amico Dustin O'Halloran, ai Devics, duo dream pop che realizza ben cinque album firmati Bella Union, l'etichetta di Simon Raymonde dei Cocteau Twins. Nel 2008 Sara Lov intraprende il suo percorso solista e, contemporaneamente, la sua collaborazione con il produttore Zac Rae (Death Cab For Cutie, My Brightest Diamond, Fiona Apple), con il quale registra "Seasoned Eyes Were Beaming", (2008, Nettwerk Music)  e  la raccolta di cover "I Already Love You" (2011, Irma Records). 

La pubblicazione del primo disco solista riscuote un notevole successo e Sara Lov passa buona parte del 2009 e del 2010 in tour in Europa e Stati Uniti. L'anno successivo l'artista americana pubblica "I Already Love You", una sua personale rivisitazione di brani altrui, dal grande trasporto emotivo.

Il nuovo album, "Some Kind Of Champion", raccoglie tutto il mondo di Sara: un suono ipnotico e seducente, una voce agrodolce che rapisce il cuore e che la riconferma come una tra le migliori cantautrici in circolazione. "I'm better at singing than playing instruments. I get very frustrated with myself because my hands don't know how to do what my voice would like to sing with. So for this album, I thought I would collaborate. This way, I can leave the music to those who are good at it and I can do my favorite part which is to write melodies and lyrics and sing. I did manage to write two songs for the album on my own (The Dark and One In The Morning), but if I had to write all of the music, it could have been another five years… plus, I really love collaborating and I love what each of these guys brought to the table. It's a way I love working and hope to continue like this."  - Sara Lov.

Interamente scritto da Sara, il nuovo lavoro vede la collaborazione di Zac Rae, Dustin O'Halloran, Hauschka, Scott Leahy e Jonathan Price. Registrato e mixato nel 2015 negli studi di Zac Rae a Los Angeles, "Some Kind Of Champion" è stato realizzato grazie al sostegno dei numerosi fan che da sempre seguono Sara Lov attraverso una campagna su PledgeMusic.

Giovedì 9 luglio è uscito in radio "L'eterno di un Attimo" dei Due-O, disponibile per il download su iTunes e in tutti i digital store.

 

Traccia apripista del secondo album della band dal titolo omonimo, "L'Eterno Di Un Attimo" descrive l'ambivalenza dell'affascinante concetto di "eternità": quella che si promette con estrema facilità e disinvoltura alla persona amata, a quella che resta invece cristallizzata dentro un attimo, spesso unica consolazione, di ciò che è stato e forse mai piu ritornerà ("ma perché le cose cambiano e non ritornano. e le vite son scie imprevedibile che a volte si incrociano. in un punto e solo in quel punto si incontrano. mentre noi ci giuriamo l'eterno, l'eterno di un attimo").

 

L'eterno di un Attimo è anche il titolo dell'imminente secondo album dei DUE-O, dieci brani che spaziano dal rock al pop, dal dark all'elettronica, in una fusione che altrimenti non si potrebbe descrivere, se non nel sound tipico di questa band.

Breve bio

I Due-O sono un progetto musicale nato nell'estate 2010 dall'iniziativa di Piero Anselmi e Antonio D'Onofrio.

Di origini pugliesi ma milanesi d'adozione, hanno all'attivo l'album d'esordio "I colori dell'anima" (2012). Dopo tre anni di attesa sono pronti per il secondo album.
