New explosive rock quartet THE NERVE have announced they will premiere their new single 'Down There' tonight on 24/7 online rock/metal radio station AndrewHaug.com

Due out May 31^st on Bird's Robe Records, the single comes ahead of the band's first headline tour, kicking off in June at Melbourne's Rock N Load Festival.

Featuring Ezekiel Ox (Mammal, Over-Reactor), Lucius Borich (Cog, Juice, FloatingMe), Davarj Thomas (Pre-Shrunk) and virtuoso guitarist Glenn Proudfoot, the new project is the culmination of a 15-year association between the long-time friends & songwriting partners that has now come to fruition.

With their teaser track Witness already picking up airplay on Triple J and community radio nationally, the band launched their visceral live show in style last month, to a steaming full house at Melbourne's The Espy.

They have now announced an extensive run of Australian shows ahead of the release of their forthcoming new single Down There due out May 31st. The release and tour will be followed by the band's debut album in late 2013.

Based across Prague, Bondi and Melbourne, the band are currently putting the finishing touches on the album, which has been written and recorded across multiple continents.

The Nerve recently joined the growing Bird's Robe Records Australian roster alongside sleepmakeswaves, The Red Paintings, Tangled Thoughts of Leaving, Toehider, Pirate, Dumbsaint, Solkyri, Anubis, Unitopia & more, as well as international experimental rock icons 65daysofstatic (UK), Rosetta (US), Atlantis (NED) and Vampillia (JPN).
