As The Red Paintings gear up to play a string of headline shows here in Australia, it seems like they can do no wrong overseas. The band has just finished a run of massive sold-out theatre shows across the US as main support for punk-lords Mindless Self Indulgence. After such a successful run in the US, Mindless Self Indulgence have invited the Geelong-formed group to join them for their extensive UK & Europe tour dates later this year. The band are currently playing in the UK (with prog rockers The Pineapple Thief), as well as coming off their own 40-date tour across the UK, Europe and USA.
Their recent support tours through the USA and the UK have proven to be the perfect launch pad for the band who have won a plethora of new fans and drawn glowing reviews for their sets from critics in attendance.

Speaking about the support for MSI, Trash McSweeney, The Red Paintings creator & front man is quick to respond that it was "over-the-top incredible. This tour has been by far the most successful tour we've ever done."
Known for their incredible live performances, The Red Paintings are bringing their 'You're Not One Of Them' tour to Australia in June, following the recent release of their new single & video, which just hit #68 on the US FMQB radio chart in its first week.
Based between Australia and Los Angeles, The Red Paintings are a five-piece orchestral art rock group (guitar, bass, drums, piano, cello & violin) who incorporate themed costumed stage shows, live art, visual projections and human canvases to create a truly unique art experience that reflects the band's music and energy in real time.
With their diverse history and cult following, The Red Paintings have stepped into 2013 with a cutting edge debut-album, a highly praised innovative live performance, and die-hard fans (who Trash says are "the best on the planet"). It truly looks as though the future is now for the band.
'The Revolution Is Never Coming' is in Australian stores through Bird's Robe Records/MGM Distribution June 7th 2013, with international release details to follow through The End Records

''TRP will change how you think about ANY live performance. They will take you on a journey into the future with a vibrant and visionary performance that is sure to impact your mind and senses alike!'' - Time Off Magazine
"Their haunting lyrics and arrangements play games with your head until Stockholm syndrome finally creeps in. I couldn't blink, let alone tap my feet. By the encore I was totally fucking mesmerized. These guys could have told me to have sex with the cigarette machine, and I would have, transformed out of all recognition." - Blunt Magazine
