LORD SHANI is a new band from Milan, Italy, that plays its own songs in a personal genre that fits between Psychedelic Soul Rock and a kind of Progressive R&B. The line-up of their first album, "Progress Your Soul" (due out in january 2013 via Go Down Records in digipack CD) includes Viola Road on vocals, Paolo Bramino on guitar , Petrolio on bass and Diego Galeri on drums, actually replaced by Tribalex (Ritmo Tribale, NoGuru). These musicians have a rich background, play and have played in various bands (Matra,Timoria, Miura, Mike Painter 5tet, Free The Nation, Adam Carpet), but they consider Lord Shani's experience a new emotion that has unprecedented in the contemporary music scene.
"Progress Your Soul" has been recorded and mixed by Luigi Galmozzi at Morbid Sound Studio, Milan, and mastered by Gianluca Patrito at G-Effect Studio, Turin. 10 tracks with a warm,
powerful top quality sound and with a production that competes with the highest worldwide standards.

La band si forma a Milano nel 2010, e vede tra le sue fila Viola Road alla voce (gia' partner di Mike Painter), Paolo Bramino
alla chitarra (Free The Nation, Mo'Stipiti, Matra), Petrolio al basso e Diego Galeri alla batteria (Timoria, Miura, Adam Carpet).
I 4 iniziano a comporre materiale proprio, senza porsi particolari vincoli stilistici e, malgrado si abbandonino tra le braccia
della creativita' piu' pura, riescono a crearsi una propria esclusiva identita' musicale attraverso brani che coniugano Soul, Vintage Rock e psichedelia onirica e visionaria. Canzoni che andranno poi a fare parte del loro primo album "Progress Your Soul", in
uscita per Go Down Rec. nel gennaio/febbraio 2013.
Nel frattempo la band si fa apprezzare dal vivo condividendo il palco con Vibravoid, Lord Bishop, Aqua Nebula Oscillator ed
altre realta' della scena PsychRock underground europea.
Attualmente Diego Galeri, causa impegni con le sue altre bands, ha ceduto il posto alla batteria a Tribalex (Ritmo Tribale,NoGuru)
con il quale i Lord Shani si apprestano ad incominciare una nuova serie di live a supporto del loro debut album.
